In this project, DEM assists the Government of South Africa in decoupling its economic growth from the growth in greenhouse gases.
The aim of the project is to assist the Government of South Africa in decoupling its economic growth from the growth in greenhouse gases.
Activities funded by the programme, including this assignment on Carbon Offsets, facilitates capacity building through the transfer of skills and experience between the South African Department of Energy (DoE) and its Danish counterparts through practical implementation of specific tasks in the project.
DEM provided the following services:
Provision of recommendations for design of a Carbon Offset Administration System.
Advise on development of IT system and Registry of the Carbon offset administration.
Review and quality assurance of final SOP and Administrative procedures
