We helped the European Union facilitating the implementation of strategies that will enable Jordan to reach the medium and long term goals for the development of renewable energy and energy efficiency, with a special focus on the building sector.
This sector is considered by the Government as vital for the sustainable economic growth of the country.
The project has two components:
- An institutional component
- Energy Efficiency in the building sector.
We collaborates with SAFEGE and Centre for Renewable Energy Sources and Saving to reach the following results:
Action plans for EE and RE, aiming as increasing their use in the public sector, in industrial and commercial enterprises, and in households. Further to developing an EE building code, we put efforts into increasing knowledge and acceptance of the Building Code by professionals. Training, demonstration projects, and regulatory frameworks for EE.
A special emphasis is laid on Monitoring and Evaluation of RE/EE performance as well as the development of an Energy Information System.
